WELCOME from Mark Deming, Chairman of the
Simsbury Economic Development Commission
The Simsbury Economic Development Commission’s (EDC) approach in its mission to foster economic growth is to support existing business in Simsbury and to attract and recruit new businesses to our town. We do this by supporting and working with:
- Simsbury Main Street Partnership
- Chamber of Commerce
- Simsbury Tax Abatement Program
- Planning and Zoning Commissions
- Board of Selectman
- Simsbury Business Owners
We work closely with the town Planner and staff to continually improve the regulatory process, procedures and disclosure for business growth and development. We actively solicit feedback and encourage both existing and new businesses to contact us to determine if the EDC can be of any help to them as they seek to improve, expand or establish new businesses. We will be pleased to help you find a location that’s exactly right for you.
As we continue to respond to the ever changing needs of the development community, look for enhancements to our website regarding the land use process, the Town’s Geographic Information System (GIS) and other useful tools.
Home to the world renown International Skating Center of CT and the Performing Art Center at Simsbury Meadows, summer home of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra; Simsbury is a vibrant community with a successful mix of retail, office, service and manufacturing.
Sincerely,
Mark Deming
