Welcome to the Simsbury Town Center Charrette Web Page!
By any measure, the Charrette Process was a great success! The event began on Saturday, September 12th, with an initial presentation and design session and concluded Wednesday night with a closing presentation. In total, more than 600 people signed in over the course of the week. Lee Einsweiler, the lead consultant from Code Studio which facilitated the Charrette, commented that the process was “hyper-successful.”
A sincere “thank you” goes out to the community for making this process such a success.
If you missed it, SCTV will be broadcasting the presentations over the coming weeks. In addition, we will continue to update the Charrette Page on the Town’s Web Site. The final presentation slides prepared by Code Studio will be posted early next week.
So, what’s next? Code Studio is preparing the final Charrette Report and will submit it within the next two months. A draft zoning regulation for the town center will then be prepared and discussed with the Zoning Commission.
