MINUTES
HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
FEBRUARY 7, 2008
I. CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of the Historic District Commission was called to order at 7:30 P.M. in the Simsbury Town Offices. Present were Commission Members Ken Feder, David Freitas, Paul Lanza, Diane Meade, Elizabeth Woollacott, Evan Woollacott, and Lynn Charest Zoning Compliance Officer of Conservation/Inland Wetlands.
II. ROLL CALL - APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES
The members of the Historic District Commission stated roll call. An alternate was not appointed.
III. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ELECTION OF OFFICERS
A brief discussion took place regarding the duties required of the Officers of the HDC.
Paul Lanza made a motion, seconded by Ken Feder, and passed unanimously to nominate and elect Elizabeth Woollacott as Chairman of the Historic District Commission.
Diane Meade made a motion, seconded by Evan Woollacott, and passed unanimously to nominate and elect Ken Feder as Vice-Chairman of the Historic District Commission.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - December 6, 2007
Ken Feder made a motion, seconded by David Freitas, and passed unanimously to approve the HDC Minutes of December 6, 2007.
V. OTHER BUSINESS
Members of the HDC questioned how many HDC meetings are required per year as stated in the HDC By-Laws. Lynn Charest reported one meeting is required; specifically to elect Officers.

The Historic District members stated an Alternate (from the Democratic Party) is still required on the Commission.
Diane Meade volunteered to speak with Andy Glassman regarding this topic.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
The Historic District Commission adjourned the meeting at 7:55 pm.
