Chip Houlihan, Acting Chairman, opened the meeting.
Town Attorney Bob DeCrescenzo introduced Ken Leslie, Director of Planning from Glastonbury to discuss his experience with the Glastonbury PAD regulation.
Mr. Leslie noted several different examples of where the PAD regulation had been used.
Parking regulations are able to be significantly relaxed under the PAD regulation and allow desirable development that would not otherwise be possible under current regulations. Discussion was also held on the importance of the preliminary plan meetings. These were deemed to be very important.
Discussion was held regarding another speaker, Attorney Bob Sitkowski. Julie Meyer then made a motion to have Bob Sitkowski attend a future meeting. The subcommittee voted 6-2 to ask Bob Sitkowski to attend a future meeting. Mr. Houlihan and Mr. Deming voted in opposition.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 pm.
