December 6, 2010 Update News - The Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG), the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) and the Town of Simsbury are initiating a study to address safety, access management and development potential / growth along the Route 10 corridor in the town of Simsbury. This Planning and Land Use Department includes the Planning, Zoning, Conservation and Inland Wetlands, Zoning Board of Appeals, Historic District Commission, Economic Development, Design Review and Building Inspection functions.

While it looks as though there were very few changes to the actual flood boundaries in Simsbury, you may want to look at your area to see if you are located in a FEMA mapped floodplain area or not. To obtain information about the floodplain in your area, please visit www.msc.fema.gov or www.floodsmart.gov.
