SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
JUNE 4, 2007
A Special Meeting of the Board of Selectmen was held in the Main Meeting Room of the Town Hall on Monday, June 4, 2007. Present were: First Selectman Thomas Vincent, Selectmen John Romano, John Hampton, Moira Wertheimer and Dave Ryan. Deputy First Selectman Joel Mandell was absent. Others in attendance included Director of Administrative Services Brandon Robertson and Town Engineer, Richard Sawitzke.
CALL TO ORDER
First Selectman Thomas Vincent called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. Mr. Vincent introduced Town Engineer, Richard Sawitzke to give a presentation regarding Minister Brook.
Mr. Sawitzke briefed the Board on the situation pertaining to the Minister Brook Watershed Protection Program, #20 and #22 Redstone Drive.
After discussion a motion was made by John Romano, seconded by John Hampton to authorize the First Selectman to execute an agreement entitled "Joint Agreement and Operation Maintenance Agreement for Emergency Watershed Protection Measures between the Town of Simsbury and the United States Department of Agriculture National Resources Conservation Service". All agreed and the motion was passed.
RESOLVED, that the Simsbury Board of Selectmen authorize the First Selectman, Thomas E. Vincent, to sign the Joint Agreement and Operation and Maintenance Agreement for the Emergency Watershed Protection Measures between the Town of Simsbury and the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service for stabilization of stream banks of Minister Brook at 20/22 Redstone Drive, Simsbury, Connecticut; and the Assurance Relating to Real Property Acquisition rights.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
