GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR DONATING COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

Donate only items that continue to have real value, e.g. an ink jet printer in working condition, but NOT a broken old daisy-wheel printer. Donate a working Pentium-class PC or better, but forget about an old 386 or 486 machine.

Be sure to include all manuals, warranty cards, and related documentation.

Electronics Recycling Days

The CRRA (Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority) periodically holds electronics recycling collections throughout Connecticut. Any resident of a community served by the CRRA, such as Simsbury, can participate in any electronics recycling collection they sponsor, anywhere in the state.

Computer equipment is loaded with toxic materials (cadmium and lead, just to name a couple). It's important to dispose of them properly.

We held a very successful electronics recycling day in Simsbury on June 9, 2001. We expect to have another one in Simsbury in the spring of 2002.

For more information, please contact Kathy Dube at the CRRA at 860.757.7738.
