Town of Simsbury - Local Vendor Preference Ordinance

Notice is hereby given that at a meeting held on October 26, 2009, the Board of Selectmen approved an ordinance entitled Local Vendor Preference. The Board of Selectmen authorized the publication of a summary of the ordinance pursuant to C.G.S. 7-157. This document is prepared for the benefit of the public, solely for purposes of information, summarization and explanation. This document does not represent the intent of the legislative body of the Town of Simsbury for any purpose. The purpose of the ordinance is to amend the Town’s purchasing procedures to allow a bona fide Town-based business to be considered the lowest responsible bidder if its bid is no more than 5% higher than the nominal lowest bid.
