Taxes Due
This is a reminder notice that taxes were due January 1, 2010. The last day to pay without penalty is Feb. 1 (Postmarks of Feb. 1, 2010 will be accepted).
Taxes due at this time are for the second installment on real estate and personal property on any business. Those bills were mailed out last June. All tax amounts can be found on the Town’s website at www.simsbury-ct.gov/tax
Supplemental motor vehicle tax bills were mailed out the last week of December and were due also January 1, 2010, with the last day to pay without penalty by February 1, 2010.
Supplemental motor vehicle bills are for cars that were newly registered after October 1, 2008 but before August 2, 2009. By state law, failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt one from paying taxes.

Tax payment can me made in person at the Tax Office. Bring the entire bill with you, if you would like a receipt. Taxes can be paid with a credit card to Official Payments at 1-877-309-6025. There is a 3% convenience fee for this service.
If you are looking for taxes that you paid in the calendar year 2009 on both your home and cars all tax amounts are on the town’s web-site at www.simsbury-ct.gov/tax , under Taxes paid for 2009 Listing. Tax information is not given out over the phone. If a copy is requested there is a $1.00 fee for the copy, and they can be picked up in the Tax office.
