Town of Simsbury Seeks Unaffiliated Voter to Serve on Charter Revision Commission

The Town of Simsbury’s Board of Selectmen is seeking candidates to fill an “unaffiliated voter” position on a Charter Revision Commission which will shortly be appointed to conduct a review of the Town of Simsbury’s Charter.  The Charter Revision Commission will consist of nine members:  four Republicans, four Democrats and one Unaffiliated voter.  It will address specific matters raised by the Board of Selectmen in its charge to the Commission and may address other initiatives on its own initiative.  Interested Unaffiliated voters are asked to submit a letter of interest providing any relevant personal background and the reason for their interest in serving on the Commission to Thomas F. Cooke, Director of Administrative Services, via e-mail at tcooke@simsbury-ct.gov, or by regular mail at 933 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT 06070 no later than 4:30 p.m. on July 10, 2015.
