New Business:

Chris Kelly, and Mickey Lecours-Beck reviewed and discussed with the committee the proposed changes to the Resource Guide distributed by the committee last year.  The committee agreed that the changes proposed by the sub-committee and were appropriate and Mickey presented and discussed the changes and the quantity of booklets to be ordered for the next school year.  Mr. White and Mr. O’Brien agreed with the need for more booklets and the committee agreed to order 1000 booklets for the next school year.

Chris Kelly and Becky Rosenthal, members of the sub-committee reviewing  the Community for Care website information suggested several changes and updates for the committee to consider.  Due to time constraints the committee agreed to continue the review and address the issue again at the next meeting.

The committee discussed a scheduling conflict with the June 8th meeting and presentation, namely the high School Graduation.   The committee decided to cancel the June 8th program and continue to discuss a separate possible meeting date for the committee in June.  Several possibilities for programing were discussed and perhaps the addition of another program in the fall.

The committee discussed recent events in Simsbury regarding drug overdoses and the possibility of holding an open community forum to allow residents to discuss the issue.  The committee did not agree on a format but would like to continue the discussion at our next meeting.

Next meeting: June 1, 2016

Adjournment: Mr. Kelly made a motion to Adjourn at 5:50pm.  Ms. Rosenthal seconded the motion. All were in favor.

Respectfully Submitted,
