Zoning Board of Appeals

A bi-partisan elected body, the Zoning Board of Appeals' primary function is to hear applications for variances from the Zoning Regulations in which strict adherence to the regulations would result in an unusual hardship. In addition, the Board serves as an agent for the State of Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles to hear and act upon applications for Certificates of Approval for automotive sales, repairs, and the sale of gasoline products. Finally, the Board hears cases where applicants allege errors in the Code Compliance Officers's determinations.

The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. Meetings are held in the Simsbury Town Offices Main Meeting Room, unless otherwise noted on the Agenda.
