Celebrate Simsbury's 350th Anniversary
A celebration 350 years in the making is going to need a lot of help to become something we will all remember! Our steering committee is still seeking people to fill the following volunteer positions:
Volunteer Coordinator-A volunteer is needed to coordinate all of our volunteer needs for the opening ceremony, River Day and Simsbury Day at Septemberfest. The coordinator should have a working knowledge of sign up genius, will coordinate with event chairs to determine the needs for each event and work to fill those positions through their network and social media promotion
Simsbury 350 Day at Septemberfest Coordinator - A volunteer is needed to coordinate with the assistance of Parks and Rec Director the events for Simsbury 350 Day at Septemberfest, attend meetings of the 350th committee every few weeks or as needed , communicate with volunteer coordinator needs for even and help fill those positions, work with marketing committee for promotion of event.
Fundraising Coordinator-A volunteer is needed to spearhead our fundraising efforts, sponsorship opportunities with the local business community and residents. Works closely with the Marketing Committee. This individual needs to utilize their network within town to make calls and/or meet with prospective sponsors to "sell" these sponsorships and speak to the benefits of supporting these events.
Merchandising Coordinator-A volunteer is needed to coordinate the creation and sale of 350th merchandise to include but no limited to car magnets, stickers, t shirts, hats and sweatshirts and will need to work closely with the marketing committee for the creation of the logos for the merchandise.

May 12, 2020 will mark the 350th Anniversary of the incorporation and naming of the Town of Simsbury. Please join us in marking and commemorating this historic occasion. Many activities are being planned to mark this historic event.
