All Meetings Closed to Public: March 16-29

From Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 29 all non-essential public meetings will be cancelled.  This includes all meetings of advisory committees and work groups. 

During this time, regulatory agencies will be able to meet as needed for essential business, but the meetings will be closed to the public. This includes: Board of Selectmen; Board of Finance, Zoning; Design Review Board; Planning Commission; Conservation Commission; Zoning Board of Appeals; Historic District Commission; Building Code Board of Appeals; Board of Assessment Appeals; Water Pollution Control Authority; and the Police Commission (select matters only); Library Board of Trustees.

The public will be able to view these meetings live online or on television through SCTV.  Members of the public may email statements to the Town Clerk’s Office (EButler@simsbury-ct.gov) by close of business the day before the meeting to have their comments read into the record during public audience. 

These actions are being taken pursuant to Executive Order No.7B, issued by Governor Lamont on Saturday, March 14, 2020.  The full text of the Executive Order is attached below.
