Face Coverings Required in Town Facilities as of August 9, 2021

In accordance with updated recommendations from the CDC and the Farmington Valley Health District, all visitors to Town buildings, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a face covering at all times while indoors.

This is consistent with the guidance that all individuals wear a face mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission as defined by the CDC in order to maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others; this includes vaccinated individuals. Hartford County is considered to be at “substantial” risk.

All staff and visitors to Town buildings are required to properly wear face coverings, including attendees of public meetings. Individuals that have been diagnosed with COVID-19, are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, or are currently ill should refrain from visiting the Town facilities in person.
