June 8, 2020 Board of Selectmen Remarks on George Floyd

At the June 8, 2020 Board of Selectmen meeting the Selectmen endorsed the attached remarks regarding the death of George Floyd. Following the unanimous approval the Selectmen had a discussion on the events that have been happening throughout the country and world. These can be tough discussions to have but we as a community must continue to have them to further Simsbury in our efforts to be an inclusive and equitable town.

The Town Manager and Police Chief join the Selectmen in their statement and look forward to working on initiatives, policies and projects to support our town’s vision for an inclusive and equitable community
