Simsbury Named a Top Livable, Walkable Town for Young Professionals

The Town of Simsbury has been featured as one of seven Connecticut towns that are highly walkable, bikeable, and livable. Through the CTForMe online hub, Simsbury was featured as a bike-friendly and safe community, with a range of housing opportunities for young professionals.

“I am proud that Simsbury has been recognized as a top town in Connecticut for young professionals,” said First Selectman Eric Wellman.  “We work hard to position Simsbury as an ideal community to live, work, and play, and I am delighted that CTForMe is helping to promote all that we have to offer.”

CTForMe, a new initiative announced by Governor Lamont through the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, is an online platform focused on attracting and retaining young talent to Connecticut.  In its listing of the seven most livable, walkable towns in the state, CTForMe highlighted Simsbury’s bike-friendly atmosphere and promoted its “small-town feel in a photo-ready setting.”

“Simsbury is an amazing place to call home,” said Deputy First Selectman Sean Askham. “With our trail system and recreational opportunities, vibrant local businesses, Performing Arts Center, and many other amenities, there is truly something for everyone.”

In addition to the launch of CTForMe, Simsbury has embarked on its own marketing campaign.  The Simsbury Main Street Partnership, in collaboration with the Simsbury Economic Development Commission, has launched a branding campaign that will enhance the Town’s digital presence and provide comprehensive marketing materials. This initiative, which will include a new tagline, will be completed in the coming months.
