AARP Road to Livability - April 14, 2021 at 6:30pm

AARP has traveled on the 'Road to Livability” for many years providing families with resources and tools to create a place where you can live in comfort and safety no matter what stage of life.  AARP is helping families go deeper by looking at choices for changing needs. AARP will offer a conversation that allows communities to look at 'what you have” vs. 'what you will need” when it comes to your HOME, CAR or COMMUNITY.

The session will provide a virtual walk-through of aspects of making a home/dwelling better suited to the changing needs of an individual/family as well as the opportunity to revisit safe driving, adjusting your car to your changing needs and look at transportation option when driving is no longer an option for an individual. The session will also dig deeper on the concept of 'age-friendly” or 'age-inclusive” communities and how creating options for all generations benefit the whole community.  Websites and resources will be shared during and post event with those who attend.
