Review of minutes from October 24th

Discussion regarding co-chair position

Discuss refreshments and budget for the group

Formalization of our mission and vision statements

A motion will be made and seconded to adopt the following mission statement:

Launched in September 2019, the Simsbury SPIRIT Council represents the community at large and serves as Diversity Champions to help Simsbury become more inclusive - fostering awareness, community, and action - and creating spaces where all voices are welcome and each and every individual can live, work, learn and play in a safe environment with meaningful and healthy relationships.

A motion will be made and seconded to adopt the following vision statement:

To welcome, celebrate, and support diversity and inclusion in Simsbury.

Discussion of talking for use with potential publicity and outreach (SCTV Presentation)

Other next steps

SUB-COMMITTEE REPORTS

Creating a town wide campaign with a positive slogan

Outreach to organizations, citizens, and groups in town

Determine and expert resource to partner with Simsbury; possibly conduct an audit
