Rehabilitation of Bridge on Route 10 over Hop Brook (between West Street & Woodland Street)

Construction on the Rehabilitation of Bridge No.00653 on Route 10 over Hop Brook - between West Street and Woodland Street – began on February 8, 2022. The project consists of the rehabilitation of the existing bridge which carries Route 10 (Hopmeadow Brook) over Hop Brook and is administered by the Department of Transportation. The project scope involves superstructure replacement, substructure rehabilitation and installation of scour countermeasures for scour mitigation near the abutment.

The work will be completed with various stage shifts maintaining one lane in each direction with alternating traffic during allowable times between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm Monday through Friday. The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail will be maintained with a temporary pedestrian bridge downstream of the bridge.

This project is expected to continue through November 30, 2022.
