Simsbury COVID Data - Week Ending September 11, 2021

Simsbury is in the “orange” status of the state’s municipal COVID alert system; we are currently at 12.4 cases per 100,000 people, a decrease from 14.1 for the week prior. We have been at orange status for five consecutive weeks.

The Farmington Valley Health District is at “substantial” risk (80.1 cases per 100,000) for community transmission based on CDC definitions, while Hartford County and the state of CT remain at “high” risk. In areas with “substantial” transmission or higher, the CDC recommends that everyone (including fully vaccinated individuals) wear a mask in public indoor settings.

Based on conversations from around the community we have added three more data points to our weekly comparison. We have added Number of Hospitalizations for Hartford County, Percentage of Eligible Residents who are Vaccinated, and Percentage of Total Population who are Vaccinated.

The Farmington Valley Health District, working in partnership with the Simsbury Main Street Partnership, wants to help you and your staff members get vaccinated.
