Simsbury Election Officials Remind Residents of Deadline for New, Unaffiliated Voters to Enroll in Party for Presidential Preference Primary

Only registered party members may vote in Connecticut’s Presidential Preference Primaries to be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. The deadline for new or unaffiliated voters to enroll in a party is noon on Monday, April 25, 2016.

The deadline for voters wishing to change parties in order to participate in a primary has passed. It was January 26. Party enrollment changes must be completed 90 days in advance for new party privileges to take effect.
