Town of Simsbury Opens Cooling Centers

Due to expected high temperatures, the Town of Simsbury has, once again, opened Cooling Centers to help residents cope with the heat.  The Cooling Centers will be open Tuesday (July 3rd), Thursday (July 5th), and Friday (July 6th) at the following locations:

Simsbury Public Library           725 Hopmeadow Street            860 658-7663
(Lower Level Entrance)
Hours:  Tuesday and Thursday      9:30 am – 8:30 pm
            Friday                                 9:30 am – 5:30 pm

Eno Memorial Hall                      754 Hopmeadow Street            860 658-3273
(Senior Center)
Hours:  Tuesday                             8:30 am – 4:30 pm
             Thursday                           8:30 am – 4:30 pm
             Friday                                8:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Community and Social Services Department would like to remind residents to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged sun exposure, check on elderly family members and neighbors, and never leave children or pets in an unattended vehicle.
