Water Pollution Control scheduled to perform work along Massaco Street

July 16, 2018

Dear Resident/Business Owner,

The Town of Simsbury’s Department of Water Pollution Control will be rehabilitating the existing sanitary sewers along Massaco Street from the area of #8 to # 24. Starting July 17, 2018, Simscroft-Echo Farms will be conducting exploratory digging to locate existing underground utilities. This project is expected to last for approximately four weeks.

In order to safely and efficiently complete this infrastructure improvement, sections of Massaco Street will be closed to through traffic during the day. Residents and business owners within the work zone as well as police and emergency vehicles will have access at all times. This project may cause traffic delays although every effort will be made to minimize any potential inconvenience. Work is planned to begin at 7:00 A.M. and end by 5:00 P.M. each day, excluding weekends and holidays.

There may be times throughout the project where the contractor asks you to restrict your water usage. This should only last for a limited amount of time while they rehabilitate/replace your sewer service.

Property owners are encouraged to mark or contact us with any privately owned underground utilities, such as irrigation or pet fencing.

If you have questions regarding this notice or the sewer rehabilitation project, please contact our office at (860) 658-3258. Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout this project.

Sincerely,

Anthony Piazza
