SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES - DRAFT
October 31, 2013 

A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held on October 31, 2013 at the Simsbury United Methodist Church on 799 Hopmeadow Street. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ronald Zappile at 9:05 a.m. Also in attendance were Commissioners Oliver Dickins, Woody Eddins, Kay Coffey and Cheryl Cook; Executive Director Edward J. LaMontagne, Housing Administrator Christine Winters and Board of Selectman liaison Lisa Heavner.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
There was no one in attendance for Public Audience
A motion to go into Executive Session was proposed by Chairman Zappile and seconded by Commissioner Eddins.
Executive Session – Strategic Planning
A motion to go into regular session was proposed by Chairman Zappile and seconded by Commissioner Eddins.  A motion to accept the mission statement as revised was made by Commissioner Dickins and seconded by Commissioner Cook.  Motion carried.
There being no further business to discuss a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Chairman Zappile and seconded by Commissioner Coffey. Motion carried.
Chairman Zappile adjourned the meeting at 2:00 p.m.
