Opening of Town Playgrounds and Outdoor Basketball Courts

In a continuing effort to re-open our parks and recreation facilities, we are pleased to announce that many of our local playgrounds and outdoor basketball courts have been re-opened for public use.  Town of Simsbury Playgrounds at Rotary Park, Simsbury Farms, Weatogue Park, Meadow Pond Park, West Mountain Park, Memorial Park and Tariffville Park are now open for public use.  It is important to note that these facilities will not be sanitized by the Town.  Residents are asked to not use these facilities if they are not feeling well or have traveled from a State listed on the Governor's Travel Advisory List in the last 14 days.  Users are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer to the playgrounds, practice social distancing as much as possible and not share water bottles or food while at these facilities.  Please consider using the facility at another time if it is crowded upon arrival.

Outdoor basketball courts at Simsbury Farms, Town Forest Park and West Mountain Park are also re-opened.  It is important to note that these facilities will not be sanitized by the Town.  Residents are asked not to use these facilities if they are not feeling well or have traveled from a State listed on the Governor's Travel Advisory List in the last 14 days.  Users are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer to the basketball courts, practice social distancing as much as possible and to not share water bottles, food or towels while using the courts.
