Volunteers Wanted – Simsbury SPIRIT Council

The Simsbury SPIRIT (Simsbury Problem Identification and Resolution of Issues Together) Council is seeking four volunteers.  The SPIRIT Council’s mission is to represent the community at large and serve as Diversity Champions to help Simsbury become more inclusive.  The Council consists of a Steering Committee and four sub-committees – Data, Outreach, Events and Housing. The Events sub-committee, in partnership with the Simsbury Public Library, produces programs once a month on a variety of issues and invites public participation in a panel discussion format.  New members would be required to attend one Steering committee meeting per month and one sub-committee meeting per month, as well as additional commitments as programs develop.  Members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen.

Additional information on the SPIRIT Council can be found here; to review meeting information visit the SPIRIT Facebook page.
