Recycling Commitee Regular Meeting March 26, 2015

SIMSBURY RECYCLING COMMITTEE
TOWN HALL OFFICES – ROOM 103
Minutes for Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.

Call to Order:
Mary Turner, Chair, called the meeting to order at 6:40 PM.

Present:
David Chase, Lori Fernand, Rosemary Fusco, Carol Miller, Alexandra Rice and Mary Turner.

Approval of Minutes: February 26, 2015:
Lori made a motion to approve the minutes with the correction that will remove the word "only" from the Bay State Recycle poster at the Transfer Station. Dave seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Reports:
Household circular:

The final version of the household circular was approve with the correction of the graph and the addition of Textile/Clothing at the Transfer Station. The circular will be mailed to Simsbury households as soon as the printing has been done. A discussion was held to perhaps leave some of the circulars with Real Estate offices. Alexandra made a motion to approve the final version of the household circular, seconded by Carol and the motion carried.

Swap Shoppe:
The Swap Shoppe will open for another season on April 4th and operate through October, weather permitting. A calendar was passed around for signup by all.

Compost Event:
The Compost Seminar was postponed to later a date, perhaps in the late spring or early summer when there will be full participation.

Old Business:
Carol will e-mail to Mary some slides she had produced for a possible SCTV program.

No New Business.

Adjournment:
At 7:35 PM, Carol made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Alexandra. Motion carried.
