JUVENILE REVIEW BOARD
MINUTES
March 13, 2023

A meeting of the Juvenile Review Board was convened on Monday, March 13th at 9:30 A.M. Meeting was called to order at 9:40 A.M. by Kristen Formanek, Chair.

Present:         Kristen Formanek, Director of Community and Social Services
                      Erika Cleveland, Youth and Family Social Worker
                      Detective Tim May, Simsbury PD
                      Brian Liss, YMCA   
                      Meredith Brockbank, SHS Social Worker
                      Chris Peterson, Board of Selectmen
                      John Thibeualt, Culture Parks & Recreation

There were no public audience or comments.

New Business:

  1. Minutes from December 12, 2022, were reviewed.
  2. Potential changes to Juvenile Review Board from the State were reviewed.
  3. Introduction of potential new Board member

Old Business:

  1. None

Action Items:

  1. Motion was made by Chris Peterson to approve the minutes as presented. Motion was seconded by Brian Liss.All present and voting in favor.Motion passes.

Moved to Executive Session to hear case #296 at 10:20 A.M.  

Moved out of Executive Session at 11:05.  Results will be delivered to the juvenile and their guardian following the meeting.

At 11:15 motion was made by Brian Liss to adjourn the meeting.  Motion was seconded by Tim May.  All present and voting in favor.  Motion carries.
