MINUTES of SPECIAL MEETING

October 16, 2017

On October 16, 2017, the Simsbury Youth Services Advisory Board met at the Simsbury High School in Room 378.

Present:   Officer Tim May, Meredith Brockbank, Regina Battaglia, Taryn Schrager, Jeffrey Lewtan, Valerie Lee, Helena Vanderbeck, Sara Ray, and Kristen Formanek.

Board members discussed the following:         

School/youth issues:  drugs; indirect and cyber bullying; students with high anxiety; exclusion in groups; empathy; and competitive behaviors.

2017-18 school theme:  Find Your Balance
