Minutes of Board of Ethics Meeting on March 4, 2013

At 7:00 p.m. on March 4, 2013, the Board of Ethics convened a duly noticed public meeting with a quorum consisting of six members:  Kevin Crimmins, Robert Heagney, Peter Kellogg, Vice Chair and Secretary, Polly Maier, David Moore, and Barbara Petitjean. 
1. The Board introduced new members Kevin Crimmins, Robert Heagney, and David Moore.
2. The Board discussed past projects and possible future projects, including revision of the town disclosure form and/or instructions, conducting more outreach/education with other town boards, committees and employees, and reviewing the board investigation procedures.
3. Mr. Heagney moved to adopt a resolution to request the First Selectman’s office or Town Attorney provide CCM data on guidelines used by other towns’ Ethics committees.  The motion was seconded by Mr. Moore and unanimously approved by the Board.
4. The Board voted on new officer roles.  Ms. Petitjean nominated Mr. Kellogg for Chair with Mr. Moore seconding and he was unanimously elected.  Mr. Kellogg nominated Mr. Moore for Vice Chair with Mr. Crimmins seconding and he was unanimously elected.

Ms. Petitjean moved to adjourn, and Mr. Heagney seconded.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
