Are You Willing to Help Simsbury Celebrates?

For the last fifteen years, the Saturday after Thanksgiving has meant free holiday kickoff fun for everyone in Simsbury and the surrounding area. The Simsbury Celebrates committee strives to provide an event that is unmatched anywhere in this area, and the 10,000-person crowd annually certainly reflects that!

An event of this size takes much planning and coordination, and the Simsbury Celebrates committee has been fortunate to have had help each year in the form of committee members, local groups and organizations, and donations from local businesses. However, due to a decrease in committee members and sponsors, we are looking for people to join us on the committee and assist us with a piece of this huge, wonderful event, whether it be large or small. We will be holding a meet and greet on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 6:30-7:30pm in Program Room 2 at the Simsbury Public Library. This will simply be a question and answer session for anyone who may be interested in the event and the committee. Feel free to join us anytime between 6:30 and 7:30pm, for a few moments or the whole hour, either with any questions you may have, or just to hear what the committee does and areas we are looking for assistance.

We are also always happy to accept assistance in the form of donations towards the event. Donations can be mailed to Simsbury Celebrates, PO Box 495, Simsbury, CT 06070. All funds go directly back to the event and activities within it.

Thank you to anyone who has assisted the committee over the years, either through time and or financial support. You have been the backbone of this event. We also thank everyone who has enjoyed the event over the past 15 years; we could not be successful without our amazing crowd! Whether you are new to town or just looking to help with a piece of an annual event, our committee is only as good as the people who volunteer. Please join our team!
