Deepwater Wind Files Petition for Simsbury Solar Project with Connecticut Siting Council

JUNE 30, 2017 – The Town of Simsbury has received notification from Deepwater Wind and from the Connecticut Siting Council (“CSC”) that Deepwater Wind has filed a Petition with the Connecticut Siting Council seeking approval of the proposed “Tobacco Valley Solar” project for Simsbury.  The CSC has identified the project as “Petition No. 1313 DWW Solar II, LLC,” and the Petition will soon be available on the CSC’s website at the following link: Connecticut Siting Council

The CSC has tentatively scheduled a Public Hearing on the Petition for Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Eno Memorial Hall in Simsbury.  Members of the public will be provided with the opportunity to speak at the Public Hearing.  Times will be announced once available.

Information about the proposed project is currently available on Deepwater Wind’s website (Tobacco Valley Solar Farm), and additional information about the project can be found on the Town of Simsbury’s website (First Selectwoman's Office - Deepwater Wind Information).  information provided to the CSC will be available on the CSC website provided above.
