On-Line Survey Underway For Town Plan

As part of the process of updating the Plan of Conservation and Development, the Simsbury Planning Commission has initiated an on-line survey to get input from Simsbury residents.  The survey can be found at:   https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Simsbury_POCD

The survey provides an opportunity for Simsbury residents to identify issues of concern to them and suggest priorities and strategies for the updated Plan.  The survey will be open for responses until December 1.   A Plan of Conservation and Development is an advisory document used by the Planning Commission and other Town agencies to:

*  Protect the resources important to residents
* Guide growth and change in Simsbury
*  Identify facilities and services needed or wanted to support the community

Simsbury residents are encouraged to participate in the survey to help ensure that the Plan of Conservation and Development reflects community goals. “This Plan is an important document which will be used to guide future conservation and development activity over the next decade and beyond,” said William F. Rice, Chair of the Planning Commission.

“The Town Plan will help us approach the future with vision and confidence.  I hope Simsbury residents will share their thoughts and ideas in the survey” said Lisa Heavener, First Selectman.
