Farmington River, Riverbank Stabilization Project.

The Town of Simsbury will be completing a stabilization of the west bank of the Farmington River in the area of Mathers Crossing and Riverview Court. This project is designed to prevent further erosion of the bank and protect the 30 inch sanitary sewer that runs adjacent to the river.  Black and Warner Construction Co. from Unionville, CT will complete the work and is anticipated to commence the week of October 17, 2016. 

In order to access the area, construction vehicles will be required to cross the Greenway (Farmington River Heritage Trail) in the area of the Weatogue commuter lot and behind Mitchel Auto Group.  Signs will be posted to alert trail users.
