- Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 12:30 p.m.
Present: Committee Chair Lisa Heavner; Committee member Moira Wertheimer; Sean Kimball, Deputy Director of Administrative Services; Richard Sawitzke, Town Engineer; Eric Gomes, Consultant – Administrative Services
Absent: Committee member Shannon Knall

All stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

No member of the public presented.
4. Create the temporary part-time position of Engineering Transition Manager and approve the attached job description for the position
Ms. Wertheimer inquired if this would create a full time employee status and/or would impact the towns’ pension obligation. Mr. Kimball confirmed that this position would neither result in a full time status for Mr. Sawitzke nor impact the pension obligation. Ms. Heavner inquired on the timeline for the Town Engineer search. Mr. Kimball confirmed that candidates would be selected within the first few weeks of December 2013.
Ms. Wertheimer moved for approval of the Temporary part-time position of Engineering Transition Manager and approval of the job description presented to the Committee. Ms. Heavner seconded the motion, all were in favor and the motion passed (2-0).
5. Approve compensation equivalent to a yearly salary of $90,000 for Sean Kimball during the period of his service as interim Finance Director
Ms. Wertheimer inquired if the recommended compensation was similar to prior interim Finance Director transition adjusted salaries. Mr. Kimball confirmed that the requested compensation was comparable to and may be less than previous transition adjustments. Ms. Heavner inquired on the projected hire date for the Finance Director. Mr. Kimball confirmed that the close date for the position is December 15, 2013. Initial interviews would commence after the Christmas break. Mr. Kimball cautioned that the recent audit may delay the hiring process.
Ms. Wertheimer moved for approval of the compensation increase to $90,000 for Sean Kimball. Heavner seconded the motion, all were in favor and the motion passed (2-0).

Ms. Heavner made a motion to adjourn at 12:55pm. Ms. Wertheimer seconded the motion, all were in favor and the motion to adjourn passed (2-0).
