SPECIAL MEETING
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Ferg Jansen called the Special Meeting of the Planning Commission to order at 10:40 a.m. at the Talcott Mountain Road cul-de-sac. Other members and alternates in attendance were Mark Drake, Robert Kulakowski, Alan Needham, William Rice (departed at 11:05), Richard Cortes, and Ron Locandro. Also present were Rachel Blatt, Assistant Town Planner, and representatives of the applicants - Mr. Brian Denno of Denno Land Surveying, 2 Tunxis Road, Simsbury CT and Mr. George Logan of REMA Ecological Services, 168 E Center Street, Manchester, CT.
II. SITE WALK OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT EAST WEATOGUE STREET (MAP H11, BLOCK 106, LOT 037)
The Simsbury Conservation Commission/Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency has scheduled a site walk for Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. to view the property located at East Weatogue Street (Map H11, Block 106, Lot 037) regarding a pending Planning Commission Application requesting re-subdivision of this property, as well as a Wetlands Map Amendment. The Commission members will meet at the cul-de-sac of Talcott Mountain Road. It is recommended that all in attendance wear bright colors.
Mr. Denno and Mr. Logan toured Commissioners around the proposed re-subdivision. Mr. Logan conducted two soil borings for the Commissioners to review – one within and one outside of the mapped wetlands.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 11:20 am in the Talcott Mountain Road cul-de-sac.
