SIMSBURY AQUIFER PROTECTION AGENCY - ADOPTED MINUTES
MARCH 5, 2012
SPECIAL MEETING


I. CALL TO ORDER
Rob Pomeroy, Chairman, called the Special meeting for the Simsbury Aquifer Protection Agency to order at 7:55PM on Monday, March 5, 2012 in the Main Meeting Room of the Simsbury Town Offices. The following members and alternates were present: Amy Salls, David Ryan, Ed Pabich, Derek Peterson, Will Fiske and Vaughn Marecki. Others in attendance included Hiram Peck, Director of Planning and Leslie Faraci, Clerk.

II. APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES
It was not necessary to appoint alternates, as a sufficient number of members were present.

III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES - February 6, 2012 - Special Meeting
Commissioner Pomeroy approved the minutes from the February 6, 2012 special meeting of the Simsbury Aquifer Protection Agency.

IV. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE VOTE:
Mr. Peck reviewed the applicants listed below, saying these applications have all been submitted and reviewed by the Environmental Compliance Officer and sent on to DEP for review. He continued by saying at this point in time, the Commission’s only job is to receive the registrations and then he will let them know when further action is required.

Commissioner Ryan moved to accept the following registrations:

1. Registration of Bartlett Tree Experts., Registrant, and Gary Nedorostek, Local Manager, for the tree care company formerly located on the property of 1250 Hopmeadow Street as an entity that previously had regulated activities occurring in the Simsbury Aquifer Protection Area.

2. Registration of Simsbury Real Estate Holdings LLC, Registrant, for the Tower Ridge Country Club located on the property at 140 Nod Road as an entity that has regulated activities occurring int he Simsbury Aquifer Protection Area.

3. Registration of Simsbury Tire & Auto Center Inc., Registrant, for the auto repair facility located on the property at 1260 Hopmeadow Street as an entity that has regulated activities occurring int he Simsbury Aquifer Protection Area.

Commissioner Fiske seconded the motion, which was unanimously passed.

V. DISCUSSION OF NEXT STEPS AND FUTURE ACTIONS NEEDED
Mr. Peck said when they get referrals back on these registrations, they will continue to work with the applicants to make sure any deficiencies, noted by any of the water companies, are fixed and they will continue to monitor the activities at these sites, making sure they are in compliance.

ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Ryan moved to adjourn the Special Meeting of the Zoning Commission at 8:05PM. The motion passed unanimously.
