AUGUST 31, 2016

MINUTES FROM SPECIAL MEETING

I.             CALL TO ORDER

Chairman W. Rice called the special meeting of the Zoning Commission to order at 6:05pm in  the Main Meeting Room at the Town Offices. The following members and alternates were in attendance were: Holly Beum, Alan Needham, Erin Leavitt-Smith, and Robert Kulakowski. Also present was Jamie Rabbitt AICP, Director of Planning, Michael Glidden CFM CZEO, Assistant Town Planner.

II.            Plan of Conservation and Development Update

1.            Consultant Interviews

The Commission interviewed BFJ Planning and Planimetrics as potential consultants for updating the 2007 Plan of Conservation and Development. Both firms were individually interviewed by the Commission. BFJ was first followed by Planimetrics. Each firms’ representatives presented to the Commission for approximately 45 minutes with questions from Commission members.

After the conclusion of the interviews, Chairman W. Rice made a motion and was seconded by E. Leavitt-Smith authorizing the Planning Director to enter in negotiations with Planimetrics in revising and updating the 2007 Plan of Conservation and Development consistent with the POCD RFQ including time table submitted for the project. Motion passed unanimously.

III.           Adjournment

Commissioner Beum made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m.

Commissioner Leavitt-Smith seconded the motion, and it was passed unanimously.
