POLICE COMMISSION
SPECIAL MEETING
APRIL 30, 2013

1. CALL TO ORDER

The Special Meeting of the Police Commission was called to order at 8:30 A.M. in the Police Department Training Room of the Simsbury Town Offices.  Present were Chairman Brendan Walsh, Commissioner Harvey Goodfriend, Commissioner Michael Long, Commissioner Edward Cosgrove, Chief Peter Ingvertsen, Captain Nicholas Boulter and Lieutenant Fred Sifodaskalakis.  Commissioner Carl Eisenmann was not in attendance.

3. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION

Chief Ingvertsen introduced candidate for probationary patrol officer, Jean Pierre Lessard and presented a brief biography of the candidate.  After answering questions from the Commission, Lessard said he is very pleased to receive an offer of employment from the Town of Simsbury and looks forward to serving the Town.

Commissioner Cosgrove made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Long and passed unanimously to approve the appointment of Jean Pierre Lessard as a probationary patrol officer.

4. AJOURNMENT

Commissioner Long made motion to adjourn at 8:40 A.M. Commissioner Cosgrove seconded the motion.  All were in favor and the motion passed.
