Providing Emergency Information about Loved Ones

Simsbury, CT March 11, 2014

If you are a caregiver and feel that information about your child, parent or loved one may benefit the response of emergency personnel (police, fire or ambulance), you can simply call the Simsbury Police Department Records Division at (860) 658-3125 and ask the Records personnel to “add emergency information to your address”.

Beneficial information may be a person's lack of mobility or verbal communication, violent behavior as a result of a medical condition or mental health diagnosis, dependency on medical equipment (oxygen) or other diagnoses (dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, etc.). You can give the Records personnel any information you wish that may optimize an emergency or non-emergency response.  The information will be stored in our secure records management/computer aided dispatch software.

For questions or concerns about this service, please call Captain Nicholas Boulter at (860) 658-3106.
