The Dream Ride Experience

For over 20 years the Hometown Foundation has hosted the Dream Ride Experience at the Farmington Polo Club; an event that largely supports Special Olympics CT as well as animal wellness, those with major illness, military members, and first responders. This fundraiser includes a Dream Cruise (automobiles) and Dream Ride (motorcycles), two large police-escorted cruises through the Farmington Valley.  A portion of these two events will travel through Simsbury.

On Saturday, August 27, 2022, expect a convoy of over 300 vehicles to enter Simsbury on Route 167 at Route 44, travel north to Latimer Lane, east to Route 10, and south to Avon. Delays of 20-30 minutes may be experienced on the route between 4:15 PM and 5:30 PM. These vehicles are making the dreams of Special Olympic Athletes come true!

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, a large number of motorcycles will be participating in a 40-mile ride that comes through Simsbury.  The motorcycles will leave the Farmington Polo Grounds at 11 AM.  They will travel into Avon, then north onto Route 10 in Simsbury.  They will continue north on Route 10, then west on Stratton Brook Road, finally turning west on Rt. 309 towards Canton.

We expect both of these events to create a temporary traffic delay in Simsbury on the above-listed dates and times.  Please plan accordingly. Thank you for your understanding and support of this generous organization that supports local athletes right here in Simsbury!
