Christmas Tree Close Up

In Simsbury, your contracted trash hauler picks up your live (residential) Christmas trees curbside.

All Waste will pick up trees on your trash collection day during the week of January 29–February 2, 2024.

Paine’s will pick up trees on your trash collection day during the week of January 15–19, 2024.

Please remove all lights and ornaments before disposing of your tree. To reduce the chance of trees becoming frozen to the ground or buried in snow, please put your tree out no earlier than the night before, but no later than 6:00 am on your trash collection day. Place your tree next to your trash barrel and leave your barrel curbside (even if it has been emptied already) until your tree is collected.  Your barrel will serve as a marker for which hauler should pick up your tree, as this service may not be completed by your normal driver.

Condominium and Association Residents should check with their associations or management companies, as these collections will vary.

During the month of January, Simsbury residents may also drop off their live trees (free of lights and ornaments) at the Simsbury Landfill and Recycling Center at 66 Wolcott Road for no fee. The facility is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. After January 31, 2024, it will cost $5 per tree to dispose of them.
