Winter Is Coming: Public Service Requests and Mailbox Policy Reminders

As we approach the winter season, we'd like to remind you that we have a Public Service Request system online, whereby residents can report potential issues directly to the Public Works Department without ever having to make a phone call.

Typical service requests we receive include:

  • Catch Basin Problems – blocked or flooding
  • Broken or Damaged Curbing
  • Fallen Limbs or Dead or Hazardous Trees
  • Sight Line Issues
  • Potholes
  • Damaged or Missing Street Signs

If you see an issue related to one of these items in the Town’s right-of-way or on a Town-owned street, please feel free to fill out the online form. All requests will be reviewed by office staff and assigned appropriately. You can find that system here: https://citizenportal.dudesolutions.com/SimsburyCT/home

If you run into any issues utilizing the Citizen Portal, this information might be useful in troubleshooting that:

Mailbox damage can also be reported through the Citizen Portal. We recommend familiarizing yourself with the Town's policy on mailboxes before winter arrives. Please note that damage to mailboxes must be reported within 2 weeks of occurrence:
