Welcome to Simsbury, Connectict:  "Heritage. Charm. Adventure."

An award winning town, Simsbury is listed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation as one of its' "Dozen Distinctive Destinations."  It is also federally designated as a "Perserve America" Community and is ranked by Money Magazine as one of the best 100 towns in which to live.  Simsbury was also named as the first "bike friendly town" in CT by the American League of Cyclists and was rated #1 by Bike Walk Connecticut in it's first ranking of bike and walk friendly cities and towns.

First settled in the 1670s, Simsbury features a charming downtown filled with historic houses, while our farms and open spaces harken back to our agricultural roots.  With hiking trails, a navigable river for non-motorized crafts, a rails-to-trails bike path and free visitor bike rentals, we have lots of outdoor recreation.  We boast a terrific outdoor summer concert series, featuring the Hartford Symphony and we're proud to be the home of the biggest tree in CT and a lovely pedestrian "flower bridge."

All of that and more is described in detail below by selecting a button, so that you can plan your visit to Simsbury.   Welcome !
