Notice of Permit Application

Town(s): Simsbury, Avon, and Granby

Notice is hereby given that the Town of Simsbury (the “applicant”) of 933 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT 06070 will submit to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection an application under section 22a-430 of the Connecticut General Statutes for a permit to initiate, create, originate or maintain a discharge of water, substance or material to the waters of the state.

Specifically, the applicant proposes to submit an NPDES permit renewal application. The proposed activity will take place at Simsbury Water Pollution Control Facility at 36 Drake Hill Road, Simsbury, CT 06070. The proposed activity will potentially affect the Farmington River.  Interested persons may obtain copies of the application from Maureen Crowley, AECOM, 500 Enterprise Drive, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 (860) 263-5833.

The application will be available for inspection at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Bureau of Water Protection and Land Reuse, Planning and Standards Division, Municipal Facilities Group, 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT 06106-5127 860-424-3704 from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.
