The committee discussed setting up a sub-committee to review the Community for Care website information and update it where needed.  The committee was in favor of this and Chris Kelly, Becky Rosenthal and Akash Kaza volunteered to be on the sub-committee.

The committee discussed the content of the presentation planned for April 6th, 2016.  This program will focus on older residents and Dr. Harry Morgan of the Center for Geriatric and Family Psychiatry will lead the panel discussion.  Nancy Sheetz and Heather Mudano volunteered to coordinate the program with Dr. Morgan. The committee then discussed the promotion for the program and members suggested using some print media such as the Valley Press, Yankee Flyer and the Patch.

Mickey Lecours-Beck asked the committee if the Resource Guide distributed by the committee last year should be reviewed and updated if needed.  The committee agreed that it should and Mickey agreed to consult with the middle and high school principals regarding the need for more booklets for the next school year.  Karen Gallagher, Candee Brohinsky, Sue Homrok-Lemke and Chris Kelly volunteered to review the content of the booklet.

The committee discussed and agreed to form a Legislative Issue sub-committee. David Krayeski, Marc Lehman and Nancy Sheetz agreed to be part of the sub-committee.

Akash Kaza discussed with the committee the possibility of doing some student surveys at the high school focusing on mental health issues. Andrew O’Brien and Sue Homrock-Lemke agreed to work with him on this proposal and report back to the committee.
