ZONING COMMISSION

JULY 18, 2016

MINUTES FROM SPECIAL REGULAR MEETING

CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Dave Ryan opened the Special Meeting of the Zoning Commission at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room at the Town Offices.  Other member:  Kevin Gray. Also present were James Rabbitt AICP, Director of Planning Michael Glidden, Assistant Town Planner and Glenn Chalder AICP of Planimetrics.

A quorum was not present to conduct business of the Commission. D. Ryan and K. Gray expressed interest in discussing the matter before them. Glenn Chalder introduced himself to the commissioners. Mr. Chalder explained the method which he used in starting the re-organization and re-write of the current zoning regulations. The current regulations were regrouped into modules which handled specific related areas, such as residential zoning districts, commercial/business zones, conservation districts, etc.

G. Chalder presented Module 2 to the members present with regards to the proposed zoning regulations update. Mr. Chalder, commission members present and staff reviewed the proposed re-organization and revisions to the regulations pertaining to the residential zoning districts.

D. Ryan and K. Gray expressed concerns that the other members were not present for the meeting. J. Rabbitt offered to send out copies of the material presented to members and potentially meet individually with commissioners who missed this evening’s discussion.

A special meeting was discussed to be held on Monday August 29th, 2016. The meeting would continue the discussion and move into the next module which deals with the Commercial/Business zoning district. The discussion ended at 8:45pm.
